Deadzone has a lot going for it. As a skirmish game it requires few miniatures. You really don't need any more than the starter set for your faction, though I decided I wanted the options offered in the Marauder boosters, so I did buy the entire set. Even then, the cost is nothing compared to buying even the smallest army for Warhammer 40,000. The rules are solid, focusing on small missions of item retrieval, annihilation, escape or tactical point control. It is quick to play and involves some strategic planning and good tactical decision-making. Hell, even the Orx are clever!
