X-Plorers - Aluhax Alien Species

Hailing from Gorix V, the Aluhax were quite a primitive species many centuries removed from space travel.  However, an advanced alien vessel of tremendous size crashed and in doing so it ruined Gorix V's fragile eco-system.  While the destruction might have spelt the end for the tribal Aluhax, cosmic fate had one final twist...  Though the alien crew died in the explosive impact, enough of the vessel's formidable computer survived and it set about the task of preserving life on the slowly dying world. Lacking the biological materials to do the job, it instead augmented the species to survive with cybernetic replacement parts and enhancements constructed from the leftover parts of the vessel.

Thus, the Aluhax were reborn as a cyborg species, granted knowledge of high technology, manufacture and superluminary travel.  Most would remain to restore their homeworld, others took to the stars.

Description: The Aluhax are a species of amphibious humanoids reminiscent of Axolotl. Skin colouration and pattern vary tremendously, but their eyes are always black.  Notably, they have a cybernetic exoskeleton that enhances their strength and mobility.  Numerous internal organs are replaced too, while the brain is much improved with a micro-computer databank, granting the Aluhax a great memory.
