In the far future, humanity has joined the great galactic community of aliens numerous and strange.
Superluminary technology allows travellers to cross the vast distances of space, creating an expansive frontier where pioneers and colonists seek a new life or the untapped wealth of distant worlds.
The Lost Cause is a scout vessel that has seen better days. The crew are...
Ignareas "Iggy" Beyus - Human Pilot
"Rusty" - Exploration Robot
Gikx - Aluhax (Amphibious-Cyborg Humanoid Alien) Warrior
Kriq - Dredlat (Reptilian-Cyborg Humanoid Alien) Sniper
Xothir - Sesid (Crystalline Non-Humanoid Alien) Enforcer
Leah Ellis - Human Medic
The crew are divided on the surface of the arctic moon Lugion VI-B. Gikx has gone off alone following the tracks of a potential survivor from the crashed Blue Pegasus, Iggy remains ready to take off in the comfort of the Lost Cause's cockpit along with Xothir and Kriq. Leah and Rusty are just outside of the crashed transport vessel, wondering what has just knocked one of the robot's probes offline...

Gikx finds the hollow cavern with the cargo the crew has been sent for, along with other survival supplies. The pilot from the Blue Pegasus gets the drop on him, but he quickly surrenders his weapons and explains the crew is here to rescue her and recover the courier case she has with her.
Informing Iggy, he instructs the pilot to get the vessel ready for departure and the pair make their way to the rendezvous.

Assuming the worst, Iggy had already taken off and brought the Lost Cause to meet the crew near the wreck of the Blue Pegasus. Everyone piles on and prepares for a hasty departure, though Xothir notes that a couple of the little robots are still active down amongst the wreckage...
Five days later and the crew arrive at Zayphus II's trader outpost where their employer is waiting to take the courier case from them. He insists he does not know what it contains and that the crew don't need to. He pays them the agreed amount plus a bonus for rescuing his pilot. The crew are reluctant to remain docked at the station if the cargo is here and after a quick resupply, they are eager to depart.
SESSION NOTES
The second session of X-plorers went well despite the long wait since the last one. The rules remain a simple high point, with only a few quick reminders required to get everyone back up to speed. The biggest issue was the crew splitting up for essentially the entire session, resulting in some characters contributing almost nothing towards events. Still, that's a player choice, we'll see if it persists in the coming weeks.
